Kevin S. Lemack, Esq.

Kevin S. Lemack is a founding partner of Nields & Lemack and is a Registered Patent Attorney. Mr. Lemack provides a wide range of legal services, including the worldwide acquisition of patents and trademarks, infringement and validity opinions, and IP licensing and counseling. He has extensive experience in patent law, concentrating his practice in the fields of chemical technologies, including chemical processes, specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals, filtration, sample preparation apparatus for genomics, proteomics, drug discovery and biotechnology, microfluidics, and liquid and gas delivery systems; and mechanical and electro-mechanical technologies, including regenerative thermal oxidizers, web floatation dryers, vehicle accessories, medical devices, and specialty packaging. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Lemack worked as an in-house patent attorney for W.R. Grace & Co.-Conn., a global manufacturer and supplier of specialty chemicals and products.

Mr. Lemack earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, cum laude, from Tufts University in 1983 and his Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1986, where he was a Paul J. Liacos scholar. He is a member of the Massachusetts Bar, the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Mr. Lemack is also a member of the Boston Patent Law Association.

Robert C. Frame, Esq.

Robert C. Frame is a Registered Patent Attorney. Mr. Frame has a broad range of technical expertise, including computers, systems, networking, digital and analog electronics and software.

Prior to joining Nields, Lemack & Frame, LLC, Mr. Frame had been in the computer and networking industries for over 15 years, most recently as Vice President of Engineering at 3Com Corporation. Prior to that, Mr. Frame spent 16 years in various senior level engineering capacities at Digital Equipment Corporation and Compaq Corporation. Mr. Frame has been awarded 19 United States patents and has several others pending.

Mr. Frame earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, cum laude, from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and his Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He earned his Juris Doctorate from Suffolk University Law School, with a concentration in Intellectual Property law. Mr. Frame is a member of the Massachusetts Bar and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is also a member of the Boston Patent Law Association and the American Intellectual Property Law Association.

Henry C. Nields, Esq. (1924 - 2013)

Henry C. Nields passed away on May 28, 2013. Henry was a founding partner of Nields & Lemack and was a Registered Patent Attorney. Mr. Nields had extensive experience in patent law, concentrating his practice in the fields of physics.

Mr. Nields practiced patent law for over 50 years , including 12 years as a founding partner in the Boston law firm of Russell & Nields. Prior to the formation of Russell & Nields, he was Vice President and Clerk of High Voltage Engineering Corporation, where he was in-house corporate counsel for 17 years. Mr. Nields was proficient in Japanese and German and was an avid cellist.
